Zippered Pouches
I've been sewing for more than 20 years. In that time I have always had a mind block about putting in zippers. I finally decided to just try, and I found that they were pretty easy. It takes a little bit of patience at first, and you have to stop a couple of times to move the zipper up and down in order for the seams to be straight, but all in all, it is a lot of fun. I started making little zippered pouches like the ones pictured. I put some in my Etsy shop and have sold one already, so hopefully they will catch on, because quite frankly, I am now addicted to making these things! Since I am a diabetic, I personally use mine for my testing supplies. It fits neatly in my purse without taking up a lot of room, it's discreet, and very pretty! I'm thinking of adding a loop to the side in the future and marketing them as wristlets. You really can't bet these for organizational tools. |
